Those of us living in Pittsburgh take Groundhog Day seriously. Well, somewhat seriously, I mean, Punxutawney is close to Pittsburgh, so we’ve got to care. So Punxutawney Phil has seen his shadow and predicted that we will have six more weeks of winter. That puts the beginning of spring at March 20th or thereabouts, which is also known at the Vernal Equinox. This March 20th, we will have a special event, a total eclipse of the sun (not visible in Pittsburgh). What does all this mean for pregnant and breastfeeding moms? Remember to look and see the natural beauty around you. Make the season part of your precious memories. To see an eclipse this year in Pittsburgh, go here.
